I've made an attempt at a video which deals with an overview on the Sonic franchise. I'm still new to this whole video editing, so be gentle in criticism and try not to cringe:

I'll try to be gentle but I gotta say, that video is lacking.

First off, you did not mention the birth of Sonic, which was the contest that was held in Sega whom asked it's staff to create a new mascot to beat Mario, and of course the winner was Oshima. Naka was brought in to program the game and I forgot who was the artist but, yeah three people were responsible for giving birth to this game.

You mentioned Sonic Chaos was the first Game Gear game. Not it was not. The first GG game was a port of the first Sonic. Chaos came much later.

Sonic CD did came after Sonic 2 but was going to be Sonic 2, but eventually changed to it's current form. Sonic CD was later made for the Sega CD as it's own game.

Throughout the entire review, I felt that you were rushing too many important facts such as the chaos emeralds being inspired by Dragon Ball, the premier of characters such as Tails, Amy, and Knuckles, and the phenomenon that Sonic created in the early to mid 90's with products, cartoons, comics, and other stuff.

Sorry if I sound a bit too rough but this felt more like a opinionated review rather than a overview. There are alot of Sonic retrospectives out there and information from various websites and fansites. I'm afraid you didn't cover anything new that I haven't heard of.
