This episode we are joined by Mark Soderwall, Founder of GameCreatorsVault.com and a veteran in the gaming industry with over 20 years experience and over 40 published games including Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Demon Stone, and many more. Mark also worked on the game Star Wars Battlefront III, the much anticipated next entry in the Battlefront series that never saw the light of day. We also talk about the process of making a game based on a movie, our thoughts on the good and the bad of this console generation, what it is like working with Arnold Swartzenegger, and much more!

Great guest to have on, I wish he could have stayed longer to share further insight toward being an employee of the industry, but what was there was nice... Also Rising Zan the Samurai Gunman has super groovy music when you activate Super Sexy Time or whatever it was called haha...

Games I played this week (for reference).

Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (Xbox 360)
sequel to Escape from Butcher Bay

The Tomb Raider Trilogy (PS3)

Quake II (Win95)

BTW: These posts aren't too much of a spoiler, are they? I just know I listen to podcasts in the car... and have a hard time remembering the game details when I get home hours later. I hope these posts help. :)

Quake II is the bomb. I just found Quake 4 Special Edition for PC at my local Goodwill for $2.99. I hope my computer can handle it.

Quake 1 will always be the best Quake!!! My fav FPS ever.

Quake 2 does rule though. Good luck on 4, I have it on PC and 360. Its decent. I hope they made a new Quake thats more on the lines of the gothic look of Quake 1.

I received an error on my iPhone 4 stating that it could not play this episode. It downloaded it fine. Not sure if anyone has had a similar issue, but i'll probably just try to listen to it on the website.

Funny thing is, I already own a complete copy for the Genesis, but it has never cried out to me to play it.

If nothing cries out to you to play it, good lord... the maniacal laughter of the villain in the beginning cutscene will.
PLAY ITTTTT!

I browse the listings on there from time to time, I missed out on bidding on a complete copy of sunset riders on snes for only $50 because I forgot to bid (I only snipe). I also recently sold some of my stuff on there. Gamegavel gets some great stuff listed on there, you just have to be willing to check new listings daily.

Half way through the episode now and really enjoyed hearing Mark's insight into the industry.

I wish he would have grabbed Lucas by the shoulders, shook him violently and demanded that he release the NON-SPEACIAL EDITION original trilogy on Blu Ray.

I feel like I've heard the Arnold story before though. Was Mark on Matt Chat recently? I laughed toward the end of the interview when Jason was like "Where the f--- is Pete?"
