It was honestly my exact situation right down to the last detail lol. For anyone that is interested I did find that illusive segue into gaming that they were trying to find. Now my gf couldn't stand video games but she always enjoyed playing cards so I worked with that and eventually got her playing some other board games fun but not to intense games at first (apples to apples, cranium, monopoly..) this opened the door to some more intense board games like settlers of katan and risk which in turn led to playing some turn based games on consoles like mario party and just console versions of the board games we play. This broke the ice and got her into some game show games (price is right, wheel of fortune..) and now she has even started on some brain games on the 3DS (brain age, puzzler...). So its not like ive got her playing modern warfare online with me or anything crazy like that but Ill take what I can get. anyway hope this helps Broland??? i think it was, didn't fully catch the exact name of the guy who asked the question hopfully thats not too far off.

The only game I've gotten her to play with me is Columns for the Sega Genesis. What they say about girls and puzzle games is true.
