Judging by what people are saying here, I am not going to enjoy this episode. I can take it that he was probably nervous or whatnot but I think there has to be a point where one of the others says wrap it up or just interrupt because it's a pet peeve of mine hearing anyone ramble on for way longer than intended. I am getting quite bored with the whole Jason/LOTR scenario. It was pretty funny at first but now it is tedious and wouldn't be surprised if we reach the end of 2012 and he still hasn't watched any of them. |

After seeing all the negativity in this thread, I feel I should be at least one person to say that I thought this was a decent episode. There wasn't as much game talk as I would've liked, but I don't think it's the train wreck some people are making it out to be. I thought Joseph had some interesting stories, especially those about Irvin Kirshner. He mentioned he had some short emails from Kirshner before Johnny cut him off. If he would like to post about them here instead, I would be interested in hearing about them. |

I listened to the episode last night and wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but I did find the whole Irwin Kirshner stuff a lot more interesting to listen to than the Turbo duo and MAGfest stuff and got bored with the latter stories.. I would have liked to hear what the emails were so bit annoyed at Johnny for cutting him off at that point whereas he seemed to be all ears when Joseph rambled on for ages about MAGfest. Not the best episode but it is not one of the worst because episodes 16 and 43 for me are still the worst. Oh and the Killer Instinct one as well but that's because I have absolutely no interest in that series. |

Worst podcast so far, not to complain, but the guest hijacked way too much of the show, way too many long boring stories. I appreciated his energy though, but was very boring guest. |

Yes, it was very informative, and he had some great stories. The downside was that it was more informational instead of the gang talking about randomness and yucking it up. Talking about the beginning of MAGfest and then returning years later was riveting to me, as well as the turbo grafix stuff, and I think hearing the episode is worth it just for that. I feel bad for the guest of this show. Poor guy. Ill be honest tho about an hour in I couldnt take it anymore and I had to fast forward about 30 more minutes until I heard a familiar voice. Alot of people give HCG shit about cutting people off but I think it keeps this show going smoothly. I just wish he used this power about an hour earlier. |

Gamester, I gotta correct you on something about Atari Karts. You mentioned that it features Atari characters, well that is incorrect. This is not an Atari crossover game, meaning all the characters are original aside from Bentley Bear, who is crossing over from Crystal Castles, but perhaps because of him, everyone thinks that this is a crossover game, which is not the case. Though something I have learned is the stages are named after Atari games of the past and even the company that made this game, Miracle Designs, has a track or cup named after them. Though I don't have a copy of the game so I can't confirm this. So yeah, Atari Karts is not a crossover game except for Bentley's cameo. Edited by J-R, Feb 6 2012, 07:20 PM.

I stand corrected good sir.  There is a circuit called Tempest which I'm sure is based off the classic Atari arcade game, though I don't recall seeing other familiar Atari games.

Dude needs to switch to decaff! LOL I don't think Joe was nervous, I think that's just the way he is, which is cool. I think you have to be a little off to try and start your own convention and for that I respect the guy. But I don't think it is reasonable for him to expect all the current staff members to recognize him and worship as a god just because he was one of the founders. The guys that took over MAGFest after him have done a great job with it and I'd like to hear from them sometime. Also Gamester, Hook did come out for the Sega Genesis, but the Sega CD version is better. |

I really enjoyed the episode, full of memories and anecdotes. He wandered off on a tangent a few times but i found it quite entertaining to be honest. Sounds like he has quite a few stories to tell and im glad he wanted to share them. |

I thought he told good stories about MAGfest and about Turbo stuff. The Star Wars guy stories were full of name dropping and all over my head, LOL!! The stories were interesting enough, but it did drag after a while, yeah. Johnny's description of all the AGG Logo pictures at the end of the podcast had me in stitches, though. |
