Something tells me I didn't get selected on AGG. Oh well. I feel like I'm not ready yet due to me only having 16 videos or whatnot. But I congratulate all those who made it to AGG. And if you guys are going to pick up the subject of crossover video games, you know who to call.

NEW WORLD RECORD!!! great episode guys. I always enjoy the ones where its just you 4. I think I am finally sold on Sonic All Star Racing. I remember playing the demo and thought the frame rate was horrible. I have it on the iPhone and its pretty fun. Shenmue is playable, YES PLEASE!

Pete how did you find a complete copy of Lufia 2 on ebay? I've seen them but all of them are over $100. I've been wanting Lufia 1 and 2 complete for a long time instead of just the loose carts I have. |

Can't seem to understand all the hubbub about Sonic All Star Racing amongst the AGG guys, I find the track designs to be so boring. Everything this game does, Mario Kart does better (and it's all mainly just copied from the Mario Kart series, nothing feels original)....or maybe it's just because I don't feel any affinity for the Sega characters in it. But to each his own ofcourse ;-) LOL...more complaining coming, but this time I have agree with Johnny about what he had to say about the recent Transformers movies. DAMN, those movies are absolute pieces of shit!! I was really looking forward to the first movie when it was first announced and even more when it came to light that Peter Cullen was doing the voice of Optimus Prime...Hell, it was a dream come true. But sadly the people that made these movies had no freakin' idea what they were doing. I find these movies so silly, the humor is downright humiliating. |

I work my ebay magic, it's all about patience. I got complete lufia 2, complete secret of evermore, complete brain lord, and complete street fighter 2 all for only $75. Granted the condition on lufia 2 was decent, but it sure beats paying 100 for a single damn copy of it. |

Damn that's awesome. I have a cart only copy I found at a retro store for $35. I love the Lufia series and need to go back to the second one. The second has that classic rpg feel but incorporates a little Pokemon with the ability to capture monsters and make them fight for you. |

Alright, love the show, but the misunderstandings surrounding TG16/PC Engine system cards are driving me up the wall. If you have a TurboDuo, you can play ALL American releases. You do not need ANY system card to play any American release. The TurboDuo has all that built it, it can play turbochips, CD's and SuperCD's just fine without any other cards. In the US, the only system cards that were released were the System 2.0 card and the Super System 3.0 card. These cards were for use with the TG16 with CD ROM attachment, which isn't the same thing as the TurboDuo. The System 2.0 card would let you play standard CD ROM games, and the Super System 3.0 card would let you play SuperCDs. The only CD-based games the US TurboDuo cannot play out of the box are import Arcade CD ROM games. There weren't many of these games released, but there were some good ones. Pretty good Neo Geo fighter ports, Strider and Sapphire are all Arcade CD ROM titles. No ArcadeCD games were ever released in America. To play these games on a US TurboDuo, you need a converter and an Arcade Card Duo. Now, I'll admit the system card situation in Japan is pretty baffling and I won't go into it here. Thanks for the clarification, I read up on all that jumble like a year ago and all i could completely remember was that the PCE R/RX is what I needed to alleviate all that confusion and possible incompatibility down the road. Considering there are entire websites detailing all of the FAQ's in the PCE/TG16 compatibility world, its understandable that it's a confusing issue. I like your name BTW, be sure to make a new account when we need correcting on another subject in the future! |

Sorry, didn't mean to come across that heavy handed. Between this show and gamester81's youtube review of the TurboDuo I was getting worried that people didn't understand that they could play everything with the Duo. There are tons of great games available, I don't want you guys to miss out on anything awesome!  Here's a good guide on TG16 compatibility You did the right thing though, Japanese Duo's are much cheaper than the US version, and you can get them region modded to play American hu's for really cheap. That's how I do my TG16/PC Engine gaming. Thanks for the many awesome shows!

Hey All Gen! Pete, is quite the collector. Hyper Duel...?! Technosoft pretty much ruled. One thing I hope gamers keep in mind about old-school CD-based voice acting and such, even though it is terrible by todays standards, this stuff was absolute LUXURY in gaming terms; full voice speech, Redbook CD quality audio, animated cut scenes, this was PC-Engines specialty. (It was out before Mega CD/Sega CD) Hope everyone had a great New Year, and I look forward to another great year for the podcast:) AngryPCEFan is right about the Aracde Card, only a few games were produced for it. Being a Neo Geo fan, the best ports of Art of Fighting and Worlds Heroes 2 were made for it. |

So glad to hear Pete is hooked on Bug Princess. I play it like crazy on my iPhone. He's right btw, play it on Hell difficulty. The other ones are too easy. I do go back to easy when I want to try and clear it and relax, but Hell difficulty is what was on the original arcade game and so much fun. Especially Ultra Mode, it blows my mind. |

I totally fell asleep during Pete's world record segment. I had a long day at work and was riding the train home. I nodded off when he started talking about the IOS games (mostly because I don't have the means to play any of them) and woke up 30 minutes later while Pete was talking about some horrible voiceacted PCE Engine game. I was all disoriented and confused. Thankfully my stop is at the end of the line and I woke up before the train left the station. I also caught Gamester's thoughts on Superman Arcade. He's still wrong! :-) I'm pretty sure you can move around while you hold down your super-punch. |

I dont think I have another marathon edition in me at least not about IOS games. It was a good episode but man you guys have got to reel in Pete he was out of control! Pete you are the king of games played dude no question about it. Another funny thing is just like vintage video game geek posted above me I listen to this on my train ride commute from work and the exact same thing happened to me. Not that it was boring its just that I close my eyes being tired from work and woke up confused thinking another episode had started. Great podcast regardless keep up the good work guys! |
