xenosaga ii sucks?

xenosaga ii sucks?

Level 3 Posts: 127 Group: Members Member #3,034 Joined: Nov 22, 2010	i heard you trashing xenosaga ii and i think your way off. the battle mechanics are excellent cause you can combo like in a fighting game, cause a knock down, which knocks down the enemy and makes them very vulnerable, then you can use boost for the other characters to do insanly damageing combos before the enemy recovers from the knock down. i thought is was way better than xenosaga i. i admit it took me a while to learn the battle mechanics later in the game but once i did i owned the bosses. Hey I am glad you liked it! It was just not for me, but man I wanted to enjoy it.. I am kind of glad I didn't love the 2nd one as it made me love the 3rd one that much more as I didn't expect much.

I think it's because the original game was just so damn good, I just couldn't understand why they changed it... I enjoyed the 3rd one however...

New User Posts: 13 Group: Members Member #3,316 Joined: Jan 18, 2011	As much of a huge fan I am of this series, Xenosaga 2 is definately the black sheep of the series which is due mainly to the fact it was the game handled by a new director and alot of the original ideas and script for the game were altered. If anyone has played the DS version that was sonly released in Japan it includes both Xenosaga 1 and 2 on one cart. It also includes some of the story that was cut from the original release.

Posts: 3,041 Group: Moderator Member #719 Joined: May 12, 2009	I thoroughly enjoyed all three of the Xenosaga games on the PS2 and I still think part two is a good game, though I will admit that it's my least favorite of the three. The combat wasn't a problem for me, however I see why people who were big fans of the first game didn't like it - you run that risk when you change a core gameplay mechanic in a sequel. I liked it, but to each his own.
