The 'logos on their bums' are cutie marks. They appear when a pony experiences a defining moment in their life. It's usually based on something they really like or one of their skills. Also, Ponies are split up into three separate subspecies. Tim's pony drawing was an Earth pony, which are stronger than any other pony. Holly's pony drawing was a unicorn, which are able to use magic, although they usually are only able to use one or two spells. Mike's pony drawing was a pegasus pony, which are able to fly and walk on clouds. So Tim didn't really get screwed. And neither mine nor Cliva's pony pictures are hand drawn. There is a pony generator. And the reason a lot of people are into this version of My Little Pony is because the first season was directed by the same lady who directed such shows as Power Puff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary friends. Everybody working on the show realizes that they have a large older male audience, and they throw in a lot of fanmade internet jokes. Such as a pony that had messed up, backwards eyes that was caused by an art error. The pony was fan named 'derpy hooves'. And the nameless pony was actually named derpy, and now shows up in every episode with the messed up eyes. I don't want to be that guy, but you guys are really judging the show assuming that it's like the older my little pony cartoons. They really aren't, though. Pretty much every show has an interesting concept or idea to go with it. Like an episode where the main characters think they got cursed by a zebra that everyone in town is afraid of. And then another where a minor character eats a plant that will grant her wish in order to get her cutie mark, but ends up getting 'cutie pox' which cause her to start forming multiple cutie marks that force her to constantly perform the talents they are based on. Every single episode has an interesting idea and are generally entertaining to watch. I'm not one of those people who think way too much into the show. I just think it's an entertaining show to watch every weekend for half an hour. Finally, the episode VintageVideoGameGeek saw was probably Season 2 Episode 2 which is the second part of a two part special. In the first episode all six of the main ponies get put in a maze to find six magical items that they need to defeat Discord the Chimaera. And Discord tricks all of the ponies into getting angry at each other, and he puts a spell on them that makes them fall into a bad mood. So the second episode starts with them just being bitches towards each other. Rarely are there ever arguments in the show, and if there are they are resolved after a few minutes. Edit: I just want to make it clear that I'm not telling anyone to watch the show, I'm just saying it isn't nearly as weird as you are making it out to be. Edited by Bolto, Dec 21 2011, 12:31 AM.

OK Michael, I figured out a way to help you remember the difference between horizontal and vertical: "Horizontal mambo" vs "Michael Jordan's vertical" Tim, to remember the Pacific Time Zone, just remember the name of that other big ocean over there that isn't the Atlantic. And the Mountain Time Zone is easy too. Just picture Mike walking around with a majestic mountain scene behind him. It's a done deal! |

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays/whatever! Awesome episode. I just don't understand the Brony thing. Maybe if I was in my 20s I could understand the detached irony of being into something polar opposite to one's gender/demographic, but as I approach 40, shit like this just makes me want to punch people. Or tell them to get off my lawn. I feel old.  Vintage Video Game Geek was a great guest and as always you guys kept me laughing for my entire commute. Great job. I've missed being in contact with fellow gamers so you can expect to see me around here more often now. I'm going to be checking out those fighting game documentaries you mentioned on the show as well! Thanks for those recommendations! Oh and LOL at "infinity poop". |

Great episode, one of my favorites definetly! Lot of funny moments in this one and sometimes it wasn't really the joke that made me laugh, but it was Mr. VintageVideoGameGeeks laughter. He seems to have one of those contagious laughters, that'll make YOU laugh when you hear it. Kinda like Big Wayne... Oh and that Bronies thing is really creeping me out. Stop it!! |

I do not like the Keurig coffee machine. I do not like the waste from a disposable container every time I want a cup of coffee. I don't care how great the coffee is, there are other ways to make good coffee that are ecologically better than a Keurig. InB4 "Starbucks cups are wasteful."-I brew espresso myself and put it in my own mug, and the steel can is recyclable. I share Sinistermoon's enthusiasm for the Colecovision, though I always thought he liked Intellivision better based on some old Classic Game Room forum posts. "Fresca" has a lot to do with my grandmother too. Not because she eats grapefruit, but because she drinks a lot of Fresca and Diet Coke. |
