Cool stuff guys! Johny, did you get your card to work correctly yet? I'm not using a Mac Pro, but I do use the Intensity Pro and know how finicky it can be. Once you get it going though, it's pretty sweet, but getting it to display anything can be a pain. If you need some pointers, hit me up. Most important thing about the card to remember, is that you have to feed it everything, it does not setup itself automatically at all. If you don't set the correct input, it's not going to find anything. |

I couldn't get into Solatorobo. I bought the game the other day and played it for a couple of hours but nothing in the game feels very compelling. It's not a bad game by any means, it just seems average all around (except maybe the graphics). I would like to hear some more impressions on the game in the next episodes Pete. I heard the story really picks up. If that's the case, maybe I'll give it another go. |

Good luck with that, they do have a decent support team, at least they were a pleasure to talk with when I was figuring things out with the card. It can be that the card is indeed defect, as Tim suggest. I've heard more reports like that. In general, the card can only accept footage when it's set up for that particular image format. You must select the right input source in the control panel of the card and in the capture software you must select the correct resolution and framerate. If a devices outputs 720P at 60fps, you will get nothing if the card is set to anything else, not even sound. It makes it really annoying to figure out if the card is actually faulty or the settings of a console are just off from what the card expects. It's also a big issue of your console decides to change resolution, for example when the PS3 boots up a PS1 game, you'll get treated to a black screen. Until you tell the card what to look for now... Also, for PS3 capture, use component cables. You cannot capture the PS3 over HDMI (at least not directly to the card). Most non-HD consoles are also a no go for the card, as their resolutions are not recognized. |
