 OH YES. It's returned! The Gentlemen's Club went for a little hiatus, but now it's NEW and IMPROVED. However, we still retain the same flavour and dinosaurs (Tina and Rosi) that made Gentlemen's Club a household name in the first place! THE SKINNY You put your name down on the list. You provide an URL to your UNCOMPLETED videogame list either via http://backloggery.com or http://docs.google.com You will be paired with another potential Gent, and their uncompleted list by ME. However, I will entertain requests. You will then need to pick a single game for them to complete from their list, within the time allocated by the Gent's Club. They will allocate a game from your list for you to complete. You will need to complete your game, in the allocated time. RULES YOU MUST SIGN UP BEFORE FRIDAY NOVEMBER 25TH WITH A URL TO YOUR GAMELIST. + PARTNERSHIPS WILL BE ANNOUNCED SUNDAY NOVEMBER 27TH. + YOUR CHOICE OF GAME FOR YOUR OPPONENT MUST BE POSTED BY WEDNESDAY 30TH. + Competition will then run for the period of 2 months (give or take a few days). Ending on TUESDAY JANUARY 31ST + Failure to complete your challenge will result in you being called a rascal forever more. + Completing your challenge in a note worthy fashion will be recognised. Be it a brutally difficult title, the fast manner you complete it, or other commendable efforts. (Proof may be required) + Your game list must be 5 titles or more. There's enough free games out there that count, and are welcome on your list if you're stuck! + You can request certain platforms! Just as long as you have 5 or more titles on that platform! The only way I can do this challenge is if I do it on PS3, 360, PS2 or Wii, despite me owning various over platforms. I will be reviewing my title! + Please, don't put your name down if you don't think you'll be likely to finish your game! Please keep your first post, clear and straight to the point. I just need to update the list I had before with games I purchased and haven't finished this year. Just don't pick SOTC again since that went VERY well last time. But I am in. EDIT: Here is my updated list with some new DS, GBA, PC, PS3, Wii & 360 games: Backlog Let me know if you can access my page or something shows up that prevents you doing so and I'll change it. Alright! I am in as well. Darro and Muragaru convinced me. Even though my console time is limited, my challenge will be tied to systems I can play in the train. I have a 3,5 hour commute each day, so bring on the lengthy RPGs. Over the last months I have finished games like Persona 1, Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon, FF V, FF IV Complete Collection, SD-Snatcher, Lunar 1, All XSeed Ys, Trails in the Sky, Ghost Trick, Last Window, Xenogears, Mother 1, Mother 3.... Here is my list: DS Again Dragon Quest V FF Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift Flower Sun Rain Radiant Historia Nanashi no Game (The Nameless Game, horror game by Square Enix) 3DS Tales of the Abyss 3DS Super Mario 3D Land Ocarina of Time 3D PSP The 3rd Birthday FF Tactics Star Ocean 1 Star Ocean 2 (only after Star Ocean 1) Dissidia 012 Tales of VS (not in English, JP-only, might give up) PS1 (played on PSP) Grandia 1 Lunar 2 SNES (played on PSP) Secret of Mana Live a Live Tresure of Rudras Bahamut Lagoon Shin Megami Tensei I GBC (played on PSP) Dragon Quest III Metal Gear Ghost Babel As you can see three systems (at least on which I will play the game, DS/3DS/ PSP). Lots of RPGs but pick whatever you like. I have ordered a 3DS, shipped to me yesterday, so once I get that I will play those games anyway. Interested to see what is chosen, will someone go for safe, or for the unknown. There are 3 games on the list I have played for 1-2 hours before but got distracted, this time I will perservere! Short game right? Should be able to finish that one in a week in the train! BTW, I have finally made my entire video game collection available online. My Collection [Google Spreadsheet] If you use the Filter on Finished and select all the empty cells you will find out I actually have a whopping 185 games in my backlog. There are easily 50 Japanese-only game which might not even have a fan translation out there. Seeing how I finished 126 games this year alone (I have been a very busy bee this Summer and playing those handhelds!) I am making some nice progress. Sadly I bought 184 new games this year, so I am not making a lot of progress (I blame buying all those Japanese Square and Saturn games). So in all honesty, if I just do not buy any games in 2012 I should finish all the games I own end of 2012. Wishful thinking! But yea, stick to the short list I made above. Yea, I saw that on Twitter. Would be a good idea to co-op with Darro. I see some very interesting games on this list for sure. The Gentlemen's Club isnt so different from the RPGibberish Weekly Challenge I had with RPGSwagman. So all I can say bring it on!
