I Like Games. Posts: 1,602 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Jan 22, 2009	LINK This week we are joined by Greg AKA "Gary the Cat Killer" who also happens to be Gamester's brother. Greg and John talk about memories growing up playing games and of course we try and delve deeper into the infamous cat killer story. Pete also talk about Pokemon and how it has taken hold of him, and we do some questions.

Last year sometime I was playing Blur and for some reason I just couldn't pass this one race, it was like a checkpoint race and for whatever reason I just couldn't fucking do it. I threw the controller across the room and just had to leave the room for like twenty minutes. That game made me so mad. I eventually did that race though, don't know what the problem was. I've never broken a controller, but recently I did slam my SF4 TE Fight Stick in some Street Fighter 4 rage! I was rather "salty". Probably because I got beat by a scrubby bunny hopper. I am on the fence about the Battlefield 3 beta. But I definitely agree with Jason, when I use to play BF2, playing in a squad with friends is where it was at. No one knew it was Daytona!?!?! While I'm quite accustomed to the gameplay mechanics of SotC......I hate the bit where you have to stand on your horse and jump onto the floating Colossus in the desert (Colossus #13, I believe it's called "Phalanx"). It's definitely the most frustrating bit in the game and I got pretty darn angry while battling it. WHHHHAAAA GET ON THE DAMN THING YOU STUPID F***** (well...imagine the same kind of words, but then in Dutch)....No controller or person was heard during the whole shebang, but I'm guessing my neighbours have heard me quite well! :-P

You completely broke the plastic, including two of the screw posts. That's some anger! It actually looks as though none of the electronics or anything are broken. I'm the guy that called the live show that builds portable game systems. And that controller is totally fixable, assuming I'm correct. You could probably super glue it back together. And if feels a bit rough, maybe put one of these on it. Shame to throw it out or something.

You should glue it back together and do the Heine method of keeping it around as the reject controller for your friends!

Anyway, great episode, now I have to add Daytona USA to my list of games to get, I'm gonna have to hold off on Sonic Generations for a week or two. It truly is the Holiday Game Overload! Damn, and you guys recommending these great games isn't good on my wallet either lol. But I Will l be busy for a good while, playing great games recommended by people whose opinions I trust, and have not steered me wrong yet

I personally have never broke or even thrown a controller when a game pisses me off(namely Crash Bandicoot and those stupid license tests in Gran Turismo games). I'll maybe say "fuck" or something and then just try again some time later. I'm not throwing my controller 'cause I know I'll regret it later. DOOOONNNNGGGSSSS DAILY!!!!! As far as 3rd party controllers go, if you're looking for something for the Genesis or any past gen consoles that support Genesis controllers, go with the AsciiPad SG-6. One of the better retro controllers, and not because the original Genesis controller sucked so much in comparison.

Remind me never to walk down a dark alley with you! LOL Johnny, I beat Shadow for the first time last year and I think they purposely made the controls that way to add to the challenge of the game. The controls literally made me feel like I was holding on for dear life. Just keep at it. It's worth it!

Star Fox already got the orchestral treatment in Star Fox Assault, which was awesome (though the game itself was only decent, not really deserving of the fantastic soundtrack).
