I loved Minish Cap! ;p I love all the Zelda games including the Oracle ones, but my favorite would have to be Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time. They are tied. Also tied as my second favorite games of all time. Link to the Past comes in a close second to OOT and MM as my favorite Zelda games. |

For me it was always either the original Legend of Zelda on the NES because at the time as a kid that game was just so unbelievably imaginative. I also liked Link to the Past (SNES) though I played Link's Awakening more for the Gameboy. That game was really creative and fun. I went towards the Sony Playstation path afterwards so I've never really played the other Zelda games much. I played Ocarina of Time a little and it's okay I guess, but Zelda just didn't really appeal to me as much anymore so I never really got caught up in it I am 29 years old so yeah you can say I grew up during the height of popularity for the NES so that is why those games appeal to me the most.

Ocarina in Time. I like the original Zelda, and I have high hopes for Skyward Sword, but Ocarina in Time is one of my favorite games of all time... it's just that good. Edit: Richard, I LOVE your avatar and sig!

Ocarina of Time is an obvious answer. It does everything right that a video game should do right. Link to the Past, another obvious answer. This is a very close tie with Ocarina of Time for me, and for good reasons. It's amazing how much they were able to fit inside one game cartridge, and even more amazing how they fit this game plus another inside the GBA game. This is a game that has aged very well. Link's Awakening is also up there. It was the first handheld Zelda game I played, and all the nostalgia I have for it can fill a book. It's sort of a black sheep of the Zelda franchise, but nonetheless, I'd like to see something like it again. |

My favorite would have to be Majora's Mask. I just have so many great memories playing it at my friend's house when we were kids. It took everything great about Ocarina of Time and improved upon them. It's dark, mysterious, the characters are great (I actually like the MM version of the characters more than the OoT versions), the setting is amazing, and the story is probably the best in the series. And the three day cycle is brilliant, especially from a challenge viewpoint. Majora's Mask is my second favorite game of all time (behind Chrono Cross). These are just my opinions, of course. Second would have to be Ocarina of Time, for obvious reasons. Third would be The Wind Waker, because it's just a brilliant game. It's just a very nostalgic game for me, right up there with the original Animal Crossing (the two are my favorite games on the GameCube). I just love the art style and the real sense of adventure and exploration. I wish my copy hadn't mysteriously vanished =/ |

I know everyone thinks of Ocarina of Time as the obvious or expected answer, but it is my favorite game in the Legend of Zelda series for reasons other then that it is widely considered to be the "best game of all time". I got the game in October of 1999 as a birthday present (my 5th birthday) from my dad. I just remember that it was unlike anything I had ever played before and I was amazed by it. Seeing as this was my favorite game on the first system I ever owned, (and arguably my favorite system of all time) that probably contributes to me loving this game so much. I just love everything about it (except the water temple. damn you!).

For me, it is and has always been A Link to the past, one major reason is because it was the first ever video game I ever played back in 1998 when I was about 5 years old. Ive loved this game ever since I can remember first playing it. Itwas the game that got me into video games to be honest. I had so much fun with it and I still do to this day! This game really means a lot to me. |

I just dont think it gets any better than a Link to the Past. Links Awakening is pretty damn close and i really love it too, but LTTP just scrapes ahead. I really like Ocarina of Time as well but i just dont think its quite as "time"less as LTTP. It still looks fantastic and plays flawlessly now and will do for many years to come. |

I'm gonna have to say Zelda II---and that's tossing between Zelda II, Zelda III, and Ocarina. Not a fair answer because I haven't played every Zelda game, and that's surprising because I love those games. Main reason I chose part II is because it's the first one I ever played, not sure how else to decide, really. |
