The Last Story is definitely not as long, but enjoyable for a whole bunch of different reasons. Yeah, even at the level I was at, the final boss was a good challenge or I'm just not as cool as the other kids at the game. There's also a new game + feature, which I will probably play through very shortly, since I haven't really sat down and played it in a year.

THFC Posts: 327 Group: Members Member #4,013 Joined: Jun 26, 2011	About 15 hours in, just beat the boss in the Colony 6 Ether Mine. Loving the absolute shit out of the game. When I'm not playing it I'm thinking about playing it! Oh and the music is insanely beautiful. Great soundtrack.

I've since been contemplating the idea, I just may go through with it. I think it was worth it to play Xenoblade personalty. Plus the Wii is only $135.00 now so you have very little to lose. You will also be able to play the English translated Fatal Frame 4, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Another Code R and the One Piece games we didn't get. The Wii also runs NES, SNES, Genesis, Master System and TurboGrafx-16 emulators great with classic controller support.

It'll be a bit though because I want to get a new HDD for the modding process so I can put all my (legally acquired!) Wii games on it.

I have always been into importing and never did mod my Wii until last week because I didn't want to brick the console. After modding it and 3 of my friends this week I can say its really very easy and worth it. having all my games loaded on a USB HDD was worth it alone not to mention it can play imports! With the cost of a new Wii being so low now I say go for it. I am only about 8 hrs into Xenoblade so far and I have to say its one of the best RPG's out there this gen. Its sort of like a hybrid offline MMO mixed with the very best parts of a Square Enix game! It has a ton and I mean a ton of side quests, Notorious Monsters (Rare Spawns)and talking and interacting with the people of the towns is rewarding as well. It also has a very large open word with everything you can see able to be explored! This sounds rather similar to FFXI. Notorious Monsters were a light addiction of mine on that game. Has anyone played FFXI and can offer a comparison to Xenoblade? I may pick it up, it sounds right up my alley.

Level 5 Posts: 597 Group: Members Member #1,725 Joined: Mar 17, 2010	I picked up a copy of the game and it is a fantastic looking and sounding game for sure. 7 hours in and currently en route to Colony 6, very interesting story so far. The MMO-style is not my favorite though, the constant treasure chest looting, hard to grasp equipment system and mindless fetchquests hamper my experience. The fact that it is a Wii RPG and by far the best on the Wii is great but I had more fun with FF XII then Xenoblade so far. Perhaps the game will become better later on, because the mindless attack spamming isn't my favorite thing to do when you are already pressed for time (job doesnt allow me to play many consoles games)

I suppose it is possible Operation Rainfall actually helped out, or maybe Nintendo of America made their decision independently of Operation Rainfall's efforts. I'm not sure. New User Posts: 22 Group: Members Member #4,611 Joined: Jan 3, 2012	I completed Xenoblade like 3 days ago, one of my favorite JRPG's of all time! I got frustrated at the final boss and went totally bananas, did an all out DPS party setup with Dunban, enigmatic party number nr. 7 (spoiler so I won't say who) and Shulk and the god damn thing just died like in an instant, I didn't even care about the adds! Dunban just evasion tanked like a boss :~D Love how flexible the combat system is. I kinda wanna go through the new game+ to collect everything and do all the side quests. It took me 65 hours to beat the game and after the first 20 hours I didn't bother with the side quests because I thought it was kinda stupid they didn't have objective markers on the map. Awesome game, everyone should play this!

The settings are gorgeous and the music is absolutely breath taking. The characters are great and the story is gripping. I'm running the game with component cables at 480p and 240Hz and its looking stunning and smooth. Some of the best graphics on the Wii for sure. If you haven't already... go out and buy this game!
