the call of duty community (including myself) is kind of impossible to make happy. i mean really look at MW2, the first few months an "amazing" game then after people played it for awhile it became "garbage". and now the same thing is happening with Black ops. like everybody is abandoning that game but when it first game out it was the "best, most balanced cod". has anybody else noticed this?

Yeah i've hated black ops from the get go too. The piece of shit crashed my computer like 5 times while i was doing the campaing and although the multiplayer works fine its still boring compared to bad company 2 :)

I liked black ops but not for the reason's you might think. zombie mode was easly my favorite and dead ops was pretty fun too. Not a big fan of the multiplayer though.

I think this is the natural lifecycle of online-centered games. People buy it, play it feverishly for a while and then move onto other games. However, I will say that Call of Duty is largely immune to the problem that a lot of other games seem to have a few months after release; nobody is online playing. I am not into the COD multiplayer, but I know people who are heavily into it and they never have a problem finding a game. However, what you're describing is typical and to be expected, since you can only play a game for so long before wanting to try something else.

I was always more of a halo guy myself never liked call of duty as much. But l agree most multiplayer games especially for me run out of steam in a month or two and the thing is i've only rented call of duty never bought it and to this day me friends STILL bug me to get the damn game, it was a one time thing and i'm not going to play it again.

some people been tricked into buying the same game for the past 4 years of course your going to think it is garbage Plus on a note i will say the people I know play more halo (if I'm on xbox)
but I will say for some If for someone thinks it's unbalanced you ether suck or complaining stop playing the game if some think that the game is "unbalanced" if some are addicted and suck "Good Luck" or just learn strategies and mix up the gameplay a little here and there

The games are really good, but people are too serious online so all of the fun customization aspects of the game goes away. Once people figure out the 2 or three "usable" classes, then alot of the charm wears off. People don't play this game for fun, they play it because they want to get good at it/are good at it. Kind of sad.

Every COD game has been the same since MW came out in 07. imo its being sort of overmilked. It needs to stay dead for a little while.

I just recently lost interest in the series. I recently just got Crysis 2 and was playing that all afternoon. Then I popped in Black Ops then I finally realized....it sucks. Then I looked back onto the community. All I saw was 12 year old kids yelling at the TV and shouting racial slurs. Now why would I want to be part of that? I'm done with it. I'm gonna pick up MW3, platinum it, maybe play a bit of multiplayer, then sell it. Just another game.

Why continue to support a franchise that doesn't change significantly and is "rereleased" annually? Nevermind that in the interim, has 3-4 map packs that come out at $15 a pop? Ridiculous.

I'm really into Black Ops online, even though I bought the game a few weeks ago, mostly because I have a few friends who play it. I loved MW2, never played it online, is MW2 still active online?

Yes it is to some degree. It won't be after MW3 drops.
