Just like to suggest that maybe every six months - a year pete could look at name request changes, ive been waiting months with no word :(:( |

Awhile ago I mentioned something about disabling name change requests, because I have never been a big fan of allowing them because it causes confusion about who is who on here when people are constantly changing names. If its definitely needed for something like matching your youtube name I will allow it though. Only 1 name change request is allowed ever, so if anyone submits a request and I see you have already had a name change before, I wont approve it. |

Yeah thanks pete i was actually going to use my name change for a youtube channel im planning to start up but my intrest kinda wained but now my names changed i might get the channel up and running |

Yeah, if those who have had name change can put their old name in their signature or under the avatar, that would help alleviate any confusion. Something like "Formerly known as TheDonnachie" would be good, just so people know it's still you. I know personally because it was discussed here prior to the changes and both members PM'd me, but I wouldn't expect others to know that. |

Give everyone a name history. Put a small down arrow by their name. Hover over or click it and a list of names they've used appears (and optionally the dates they used the name from). That way even with a new name, you can easily tell if they've used other names. And you can add it to the announcements at the bottom of the home page when someone's changed their name, it shows at the bottom for a few days or a week until everyone who cares knows by the time they see the person posting. |

I think name changes should be allowed once as Pete said. If you want to change your name to match your Youtube channel, an alternative ,you could always just create a signature with your Youtube channel name in it. That is just a suggestion to do instead of having to change your username. |
