Well you know what with that comment that just senses that pete has a better life than you. It is amazing every time he puts out a new vid he knows that there are going to be haters and he just looks past it. Even the haters should have respect for that. Petedorr is one of few people that I watch on youtube every night. He puts great quality in his vids and it took years to biuld up that collection of his. I am not trying to go on a rant but every time I watch one of his vids and scroll down to the comment section I see it. It really is annoying. Pete keep on doing vids no matter what anyone says.

I find the "Get a life" insult a desperation insult. They can't think of something insulting, so they use that.

I'm sure everyone who has a Youtube account has dealt with people leaving rude comments, trolling and generally behaving like dicks. People love to say things like "get a life" and "get laid", but nobody takes them seriously and even giving them a little attention is too much. Ignore them and the trolls will eventually move on. I remember a video from Tomothy81 in which he was upset about someone sending him a nasty message and he was asking what he should do (report him, call the police, etc). My comment was for him to just forget about it and move on, since by posting a video and showing that he's upset, he has given trolls license to pick on him further.

They obviously do it to get a response from you that causes you to show that you are upset or angry for whatever reason. If you don't give them that reason, they won't have any reason to continue.

How does Pete handle it By simply ignoring it. Over 35,000 people tune in to watch the videos and the response is largely positive, so it's easy to dismiss the occasional rude comment. It doesn't pay to be uppity about it or to fire back responses - the troll always wins when someone gives a damn about what they have to say.

Whenever I see a comment on anybody's video who says that, I always fight back. Those trolls need to know that they're not cool.

Any attention is good attention for them, so ignoring them is a much better way to make them realize how uncool they are.
