Out of curiosity how much do you think a complete North American sega cd collection would be worth? everything in very good condition to NM also includes boxed sega cd model 2 plus boxed model 2 genesis with all connections/cables/manuals + out of box 32x with proper video cables/ac adapter.

some complete duplicates that are sealed and includes a cib RAM cart.

I'm going to estimate the minimum value at around $6,000+

I don't think it would go anywhere near that. Especially considering the most expensive game goes for around a 100(snatcher) and there are not that many.

LOL! first, you might want to re-check your figures on Snatcher.

Also I'm talking every game including the cardboard boxed versions which some of those are extraordinarily rare... such as the Jaguar xj220 game.

This would be over 148 games and except for some wear on the cardboard boxes every game disc is mint, every manual is perfect and every case is not broken.. which for anyone who collects sega cd games knows those cases are notoriously beaten to hell.

There are other expensive and rare games aside from snatcher (which isn't considered rare by ANY rarity guide)

I don't think you really know what other sega cd games are out there well enough to suggest what a complete NM collection would be worth.

no offense... it's just your post is considerably lacking to be taken seriously.

Go check http://www.videogamepricecharts.com/ and look up all your games individually.

It's hard to find someone with the knowledge to price every sega CD game, especially in the condition you are stating. It is a unique set and the opinions of value will vary from person to person.

I'm not sure about the value of the sega cd library. I know there weren't that many, since the Sega CD had a short life span. I, personally, would pay anywhere from 500-1000 dollars. But that's just an estimate, and I don't have a ton of knowledge about it's true worth :/

I Like Games.

I'm not a Sega CD expert, but a general rule of thumb is prices on complete collections for a system can be very random. Sometimes the price will go very high, and sometimes much lower than anticipated. It really comes down to what collectors see the auction, and how high they are willing to bid. Some people pay a premium for the convenience of getting every title at once. If I were you, list it with what you are LOOKING to get for it (imo though more than $3,000 is pushing it) and make best offer as an option to gauge peoples spending limits.

Sega Does What Nintendon't

Just Earthworm Jim, Snatcher, The Space Adventure, Keio Flying Squadron, Popful Mail, and Shining Force CD would bring $800 plus at least. I don't have no idea what a complete collection in the shape yours is in would bring.

I know I have been looking to find a boxed Jaguar xj220 game and there almost nonexistent! The closest I have found in my searching so far was one that had the box cut to fit into one of the plastic Sega CD long boxes as a back insert and the manual as the cover.

I would personally agree with Pete, over 3000. If I were in the market to buy said complete, mint in box collection I would expect as a consumer to pay over 2000 at least. But as for piecing out the collection and selling the games individually, I would estimate a gross payoff of over 5000.

It depends on if you are looking to sell as a lot on ebay, sell individually on ebay, or if you are just looking at this from a replacement standpoint. Replacement I think $3500-4000 this I suppose would be the insurance value. So your collection gets stolen and you want to replace it ASAP no shopping around just hitting buy it now or hitting up retailers. Now if you are looking to part everything out on ebay I think the very best you could hope for is around $2000 people do pay decent money for the rare stuff but I found out the hard way that if its common you're lucky to get a couple dollars per game (if they even sell). Finally Selling it as a lot. This pretty much comes down to luck/timing. If there are a couple people that really want a complete set right from the start you could get in the $3000 range but on the other hand a lot of vintage gamers are in it for the hunt and buying everything all at once would really take the fun out of it, because of that it might just be a reseller that tries to pick it up for some low ball price and scoops it up for 1000-1500. Anyway a bit long winded but honestly I think everyone in here is pretty close in one way or another and depending on exactly what you are looking to do I would say $1000 on the you get fucked end and $4000 on the Insurance replacement.

Your best bet might be to sell some of the rarer games individually and then bundle some of the easier to find titles in an auction. That would probably give you closest to the appropriate value. Just a guess though. I'm not big into the Sega CD collecting scene.

ps. That sounds like a really impressive Sega CD collection!
I totally agree. Collectors already tend to have the more common titles and collectors really are after the specific more rare items. I'm not into serious collecting but I rather spend say a 250 bucks more on a specific game to get it then spend 1500+ dollars and get a bunch of games already in my collection.
