iPod Touch Section

Welcome to the Forum for the awesome Gaming Community growing daily on YouTube. I think this will be a great place for us to get to know each other better outside of just commenting on videos and channels. This way we will all be able to share our ideas and opinions in some great discussions that I am sure will take place here over time.

Then I might learn about good ipod games for once. internet forums are more trustable than the app store ratings that suck nuts.

I owned an iPod touch for 2 Years now, and i just got an iPhone a month ago, and i think that what you said isn't really true. While it may be true that there are alot more crappy games on it than on other systems (which is that way because everybody can put their own created apps on it), EVERY system has tons of shitty games. It also became quite Popular in the last few years, and i, personally just don't carry the DS or the PSP to school with me. But i always have my iPhone with me, which means that when i'm waiting somewhere outside, i'm usually gaming on that thing. Also, the games on the App-Store usually cost next to nothing. I could tell you HUNDREDS of great iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad games. Just a few examples of really good games ( Please note that i don't own all of these games): Final Fantasy I, II and III Dungeon Hunter 1 & 2 (Great Diablo Style RPG's.) Zenonia 1 & 2 (Great 2D Action RPG's.) Street Fighter IV (Great, great portable Version of the Game. The touch controls work really well.) Angry Birds Series (Cheap and Awesome.) Mega Man II Golden Axe Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2 & 4 Phantasy Star II Super Laser (Awesome Shoot'em Up) Altered Beast Space Harrier II Virtua Fighter 2 Gunstar Heroes Shinobi III: Return if the Ninja Master Shining Force Ecco the Dolphin Sonic Spinball Streets of Rage Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2 Worms & Worms Armageddeon Tetris Infinity Blade (Only for iPad, it has PS3/360 graphics.) Eternal Legacy (A pretty good Gameloft RPG.) Sacred Odyssey- Rise of Ayden (3D Action RPG.) Secret of Mana Chaos Rings Galaxy on Fire Plants vs. Zombies The Settlers Sim City Deluxe Need for Speed Series Gangstar 1 & 2 (GTA style games.) Driver Asphalt Series Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart Tom Clancy Series Ghost's N' Ghouls Call of Duty: Zombies The Sims 3 Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Assasin's Creed Prince of Persia Series N.O.V.A. Resident Evil 4 Devil May Cry 4 Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Dead Rising Mobile Metal Gear Solid Touch (Don't expect this to be really good, lol.) Silent Hill the Escape Well, this is literally just the beginning. There are tons of classics brought back on the App Store. You can find every kind of game on the App Store, starting from Shoot'em Ups, MMORPG's, Multiplayer FPS's, and so on. A funny thing i found out is that a ton of the games that cost around 3$ have as much content as any other game from any other console. Well, there isn't a case or any goodie (which i think we gamers really appreciate), but still; it's an undenyable offer, to me. No joke intended, i think that there is a never ending list of mindless fun games on the App Store, maybe even the same amount than on other only gaming intended Devices. And yes, i think it's time for alot of people to undust their iPods/iPhones/iPod touch. I think it's a system that is totally underrated by the Gaming community. Also, another thing. Some people on this Thread are saying that nobody talks about these Games anyway; I wanted to talk about certain games a few times now, but i never did because i was waiting for somebody (Mod/Admin) to give something similiar to a verdict to this thread. Again, i REALLY would like to see this section, and as it seems there are other people on here that want i too. Please don't make a Mobile Section or something like that for it, because i think it totally deserves it's own section. If you actually read this whole post; thank you alot! Fracking Cylon Posts: 1,006 Group: Members Member #980 Joined: Jul 10, 2009	If they make a section for iPhone/iPod/iPod touch, then people are going to want one for iPad... then people are going to want one for Droid... then people are going to want one for the android tablets... then people are going to want one for windows phones... I say yes, we need a section for this stuff, but not one for the iPod itself. I say one section in current generation that encompasses all of it, and flash games on the computer as well. The past generations has an 'other' section and I think this would be perfect. Just put an 'other' section, and in the description of the section put all games relating to phones or games that do not fit into other categories.

I personally wouldn't think it's a good idea to call it mobile, because with mobile you include every single Mobile Phone game, which i don't really think is the point. I think the best thing to do, would be make two sections. One called "Other", and the other one being called maybe something like "AppStore"? Or maybe simply "iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch"? I'm not really shure about which one would be better. Anyways, thanks alot for finally answering this topic.

I think "mobile gaming" would be a good name for it because it is a pretty universal term since both the US and the UK are both familiar the term mobile phone or cell phone. This area would be the catch-all for iOS, android marketplace, Amazon App Store, windows 7, etc and the name would show no bias to a certain OS.

Posts: 2,677 Group: Moderator Member #719 Joined: May 12, 2009	I also agree that "Mobile Gaming" is the best all-encompassing term for a section dedicate to games on cellulars, iPod Touch/iPhones, iPads, etc. It also differentiates from handheld gaming and it is not product specific, so Android users won't feel shunted Let's do it!
