I suggest to put an iPod Touch section in "Current Generation", that would be amazing.

Yeah, i think there should be one. I dont use my ipod for games and prob wouldnt use that section, but there are so many games being released on it i think there should be a place for people to talk about it. |

A random snippet, Puzzle Quest chapters 1 and 2 is available free today for the ipod touch/iphone. At least that is true for UK customers. |

I think it should exist for the Touch/iPad. It is a good medium for games. The RTSs on the iPad are awesome from what I've seen. |

I highly agree with this, I have n jailbroken iPhone and would love this section. It would be pretty cool because say you want to buy a game and you don't have a jailbroken iPod or iPhone, but you don't know if it is worth the money, you could ask someone to download it off of installous and try it out and give their impressions. I really hope Pete sees this suggestion, a lot of people would love it. |

I also think it's a good idea because SEGA, Capcom, Square-Enix and some other famous Gaming companies started to release Games on the iTunes store, and to re-release classics such as Resident Evil 4, Golden Axe, Dark Void Zero, Mega Man II, and there are generally tons of Games for it. |

Personally, I rarely see any discussion regarding iPod/iTouch games, but that might be endemic of there not being a dedicated section of the forum for it. As others have noted, the platform is gaining popularity and more developers are releasing quality games for it, so I see more potential now than I would have before. I will discuss with Pete and the other mods and see what the consensus is. I think the reason we never had this before is that the iPod was never a gaming platform per se, and it is not often discussed as one, but the trend is shifting and this might be a good time to consider it. We'll keep y'all posted. |

iPhone and iPod Touch are really the same thing there might be a few games that only work with iPhone or the newest iPod Touch 4th gen with a mic. The older iPod Touches you can add a headset mic or something. Also add iPad. I think one section for Apple devices and other cellphones would work. |

I wouldn't say that there needs to be an iPod touch section, but it would be cool to see an 'other' section in current gen to cover iPod/iPad, Android, the new windows phones, and online flash games like are on facebook and such. |

There can just be a section called "Mobile Gaming." Mobile includes all games on the iOS, Android, and Windows marketplace. I don't think online flash games should be a big focus as in having their own section because there are just so many and really don't need discussion seeing that you can try them out for free. |

I was just saying an 'other' section could include all of this and would get more traffic than individual sections. The past generations have an other section that works pretty nicely. |

I think the problem is that no one has taken the initiative to even start a thread about these subjects in the general gaming or off-topic section (At least I haven't seen any). If you want there to be a whole section dedicated to it, you guys have to show that it has potential by starting enough threads about it. The mods and Pete may be just worried that once they open a new section for it, there would be very few conversations there making it a waste of their time. Just start a topic like "Best apps" or "Favourite game on iPad" to get the ball rolling in another section and see how popular it is. Edited by FisHeaD, Dec 26 2010, 07:38 AM.

You done your research  But still, 9 threads on the subject (2 of those on Facebook games) this year doesn't seem like it's worth the effort. There are so many apps and games to talk about now I would expect more people to talk about them this the iPod is such a popular and powerful tool. |
