Welcome to the Forum for the awesome Gaming Community growing daily on YouTube. I think this will be a great place for us to get to know each other better outside of just commenting on videos and channels. This way we will all be able to share our ideas and opinions in some great discussions that I am sure will take place here over time.

I would reccomend using your Youtube name as your username just to avoid any confusion, but it's totaly up to you!

Constantly played all the Cave shmups on Mame, most notably DonPachi, DoDonPachi, Espgaluda and Progear no Arashi. I have played through the possible Cave Mame library chronologically and it never bored me! Gotta play them once again! Im gonna write these down and check them out! thx!

Level 5 Posts: 594 Group: Members Member #1,725 Joined: Mar 17, 2010	Only briefly played through Ketsui on MAME! Really have to play this some more. Sadly my Xbox 360 gave me a pleasant surprise yesterday, a RROD. Luckily I was still able to play the demo of Akai Katana. That game is really awesome for the two stages I played. Really hope this game gets ported. Also downloaded the MMS/PS DLC but had not been able to play that yet. Hopefully I will pick up a new Xbox 360 (Slim this time) soon. Also played the Raiden Fighters Aces Demo which did not really amaze me. But if this ever gets published in Europe I will pick it up cheap. Finally we have the Bullet Soul demo. It was an interesting shmup but the game is still really expensive on Play-Asia. Maybe a potential Platinum Collection will net a pickup. Ordered Child of Eden which I look forward to. Still have to finish Rez damnit.

No more problems with all those arcade games that I have on 20 GB HDD. 250 HDD FTW! Going to play Guardian Heroes (no shmup of course but from Treasure) this weekend. And when my data transfer cable shows up to transfer my old saves, MMS/PS once again!

The LE actually has some great additions but it's still pricey. Superplay DVD and remixed OST.

The price is high but G.Rev stuff tends to only go up in value most of the time so I am going to bite the bullet and pick up the limited while the getting is good! @DansGameCorner Get Mamoru-kun on the PS3 if you have one its has a PS3 exclusive 16x9 HD mode! Its not a SHMUP but a Rail shooter that's very Japanese / perverted! LOL I am hoping this will end up being rare in the future as I dont see this being released outside Japan and the fact that the PS3 is region free.

I think that with the recent MAME developments the eagerness to go out and buy a Japanese 360 dropped completely. I am not promoting piracy, but I am also not happy to promote the $500+ import prices to play several shmups. Besides Dan, Mushihimesama Futari Espgaluda 2 are region free and platinum collection in Japan. They cost me 50 euro to import from play-asia. MMS/PS is expensive on ebay but region free as well. Mamoru-kun is on PS3. Bullet Soul is regionfree. Otomedius Excellent is released in North America. DoDonPachi Resurection is released in Europe and region-free. Only games missing would be Strike Witches (NEO on XBLA was enjoyable) and Ketsui. So Ketsui is available on MAME, opposed to importing a JP 360. Besides Akai Katana is coming out in Europe, my money is on it being region free as well (not official yet) and I do not know if there will be more 360 shmups seeing the new consoles are rumored, CAVE is losing money and 360 is badly supported in JP. Just my two cents...

I have since cancelled those plans, I'm not going for a Japanese system any more...it was a cool thought but it's just waaay too much money, I still plan on getting the region-free games from the bunch Dan.

Both versions sport different enemy arrangements. I've purchased from play-import myself. They are a very good and honest seller. They also have a website which I believe mirrors ebay's listings but might be slightly cheaper. Don't be dismayed by the free shipping. Time wise it takes about a month to get to you in the states if you use it.

I Remember it sold for around $25 at release and has even dropped down to 7 euros at times on sale.I think with shipping through a Euro vendor at release it was around $35-$40 for us to order one. Don't feel to bad though I found this out afterwards and also was raped by ncsx lol! AS for a GREAT import vendor check out http://www.solarisjapan.com/ They have some great prices. I practically use them exclusively for my Japanese imports now a days.
