Now that you pointed it out if we did make sections for movies music and anime, What purpose would the offtopic forum serve other than a place where people would spam to get their post count up? At least some intelligent discussion goes on in the off topic forum right now. That can't be said for most forums.

See, I don't think you get the point. They want a music section so they can talk about their favorite bands and such. Video game soundtracks goes to the General Gaming forum, Rockband goes to the General gaming forum. Why? Because they are gaming related, Metallica or Jet Black Stare however doesn't belong to the General Gaming forum. Why? Because they are off topic. I hope that you can see the pattern here because even though Video Games and music often coincides, that still doesn't make music video game related. Because if you think that music and video games are related then maybe we should create an anime section since some video games uses anime art style, or a movie section since some video games are based on movies, or a Japanese section since most video games are made by Japanese, or a gun section since many video games involves guns, or a scifi section since a lot of video games are science fiction, or a technology section since consoles are technology related and I can go on with a list of things that should get its own section just because it's involved in Video Gaming in some way or if the mentality here is "Something appeared in a video game, now it's related to video games."

Ghosts appear in video games but we never considered both of them in the same category unless we're talking about 'a video game with ghosts', then that's a different story.

If we must have a music section(which we really don't) then we'd have to serperate the off topic section into a bunch of sub-groups, like Shaq Attack's(it was him, right?) idea of media sections.

There is a thread that's pinned in the Off Topic section called "General Music Discussion". I love music and I could talk about it all day long, but the problem with too many sub-topics is that their value is subjective. Some people might ask, since we have a section for music, why not a section for movies, food, relationships, etc. You can't please everyone.

As much as I enjoy music, this forum is designed specifically for gaming so its best left to the off-topic section. There are already several threads about music made and I enjoy people giving recommendations and seeing the many different tastes members have here.
