I think a music section would be nice a lot of users on the forum love music we could talk about new coming bands and music in general and music would have more people join. |

I would like it, but i was sorta thinking the same thing, maybe Pete could create some sub topics in off topic , Music,Movies,Etc- And the Mods could sort them. |

I'm not sure about this idea, I can't decide if I like it not. If we have sections in Off-Topic for Music, movies, etc, then where do we put the rest of the topics? I don't think it would really work that well and it would take away some of the spirit of off-topic, which is really just random posts, about, well, anything. You can create a thread in Off Topic and ask a moderator or Pete to pin it for you if we feel it is pin worthy, but an entire section, I just don't know. |

I am thinking the same thing. If there is an overwhelming amount of music-based discussion in the "off topic" section, then I would see a more prevalent need for a sub-topic, but there has not been a great deal of it and it might be pointless to creat new forums just for music, movies, etc. I think that the Off Topic threat is all-encompassing, since this is first and foremost a gaming forum. |

No, I don't think so. There's a reason why we have an "Off Topic" thread. This forum focuses on Gaming, and making a subforum entirely for music just makes no sense, that'll make this forum about "Music and Gaming". Since music (metal, hiphop, etc) is no way related to video gaming, then it's an off topic subject. |

It'd be neat. I'm considering the new creed album coming out next month, and would be interested in hearing whether anyone on here bought it and liked it. Rain is a good single and overcome isn't too bad but that's all I've heard. Anyway, I like the idea lol. |

Creed=Alter Bridge?!? no..NO..I Kinda Liked Alter Bridge... >=(...If thats true that means Alter Bridge might not make the rare good song like they are doing now. This ruins everything >=( On Topic: I think the forum would start off very slow and would require the mods to move alot of the threads from off topic but once everything was organized I can see it being a pretty decent forum. I don't think that is a good idea. This forum is meant for gamers, and if we keep making different sections, then the off-topic forum wouldn't be off-topic anymore, and we may attract non-gamers. |

The more sub-forums there are the worse. The Off Topic section works perfectly the way it does, and with the amount of active users we currently have, a music section wouldn't survive in my opinion. |

what?? music and games go hand in hand! every game you have ever played had some kind of music and i think it would be great to do a gategory on music in the forum. |

See, I don't think you get the point. They want a music section so they can talk about their favorite bands and such. Video game soundtracks goes to the General Gaming forum, Rockband goes to the General gaming forum. Why? Because they are gaming related, Metallica or Jet Black Stare however doesn't belong to the General Gaming forum. Why? Because they are off topic. I hope that you can see the pattern here because even though Video Games and music often coincides, that still doesn't make music video game related. Because if you think that music and video games are related then maybe we should create an anime section since some video games uses anime art style, or a movie section since some video games are based on movies, or a Japanese section since most video games are made by Japanese, or a gun section since many video games involves guns, or a scifi section since a lot of video games are science fiction, or a technology section since consoles are technology related and I can go on with a list of things that should get its own section just because it's involved in Video Gaming in some way or if the mentality here is "Something appeared in a video game, now it's related to video games." Ghosts appear in video games but we never considered both of them in the same category unless we're talking about 'a video game with ghosts', then that's a different story. |

Now that you pointed it out if we did make sections for movies music and anime, What purpose would the offtopic forum serve other than a place where people would spam to get their post count up? At least some intelligent discussion goes on in the off topic forum right now. That can't be said for most forums. |
