I still would like to see a Review section. According to NostalgiaKind's index, we currently have about 47 reviews and I think is well enough to have its own section so if you're looking to specifically read a review, go to the "Reviews" section and all the reviews immediately pop up. All of the reviews already made could be moved there and every other review posted afterwards.
I like this idea but I'm concerned about the low frequency of reviews submitted. I know there's about 50 but over what period was that?

If this does go through do you think there should be a specific group of reviewers who submit their new reviews to a section (genre or writer) occasionally?

Maybe, but I don't know how Pete would do the picking for that because there might be quite a few people wanting to do it, including myself.

It would be cool if there was just a little sub forum for music.
Everything else would go below as normal.
I'd sort :P

Hey Pete, love your channel and forums, maybe you could add something like a "Recent Activity"sort of board, I've seen this on a few forums and I find it extremely useful and updating.

Here's an example;

There is an Active Topics feature of this site, located at the bottom of the homepage (next to "Replies to Your topics" and "Top 10 Posters Today) that is pretty much like that.

There should be a Graphics (Art) section. It can be a sub-forum in off-topic or it can be a whole forum in the Forum News & Discussion category.

Reason for it being its own forum is because one topic will be to hectic and messy. People will be posting they're work and some won't get commented on, some will get lost. People will request things and get mixed up with the people trying to get feedback for their art. It would be much more organized. Also there would be members who post tutorials and some really helpful tips/hints that can just get lost within the topic.

The Graphics( or Art) forum may not get a lot of attention at first but i'm sure once its up for a good week or so it will have many posts and topics. If its just one topic, like I said, its not good enough.

In this Art section you can also show Lego art or things you built with something that resembles a videogame character. You can post large art with various characters on them. There's many things that can be done that just won't fit good enough in one topic. All the art in it doesn't have to be about videogames either, it can be random like musicians, animals, etc.

Art deserves its own section.

I mentioned this issue in the shout box...

My laptop slows down whenever I enter a thread which has a post by member "MuayThaiNinja".

I think it may be because of the animated gif in their signature slowing everything down. Anyone else have this problem? Or is it just me?

Is there a restriction to the size/length of user gifs? Because it's really bugging me that it takes a good 15-20 seconds to scroll past each of his posts.

Is it possible to get some friend lists on the forums and I would be cool to get more statistics on the site as well. I think one of the better things to add would be a way to see all posts by a particular poster to if you visit their personal page. Those would be things I think could help to improve the interaction between posters.

The Friends list in particular will help bond people together at the forum and provide a bit more of a comfortable or family/community style atmosphere rather than just empty faces and posts.

Maybe A Hints and Tip's section for any cool secrets or glitches people should watch out for! Or a section for upcoming games/events people might have heard about and want to share.

Well this idea for a forum section could either really take off or fall behind miserably in the dust, but I think that a forum section for something like Intelligent Discussion would be pretty cool. You could talk about anything so it would be like a cross between Off-Topic and General Gaming, but it would be designed specifically for people wanting to involve in, well, intelligent discussion. Posts would generally be more detailed and the topics should be interesting enough to spark a serious conversation.

Maybe a section to vent about anything Video Games related like

"OMG I bought Final Fantasy Crystal Beares and that game was soo TERRIBLE I had to slit my eyesand punch my face constantly!!!!!"

or

"WHAAA PSN wont be up for 3 weeks and I just bought Mortal Kombat and Little Big Plants 2!!!"

or

"GRRRRRR why are the controls on Star Tropics so sticky UGGGH I just got hit my another Octopus!!!"

Dunno, just though peopel would like to hear their not alone when it comes to getting angry playing video games lol. This would prolly be a dumb idea anyways =P

There should be a section where Pete gives a topic every week and people have to do art based on it. During the live episodes he can show the fan art like he did in the past

These aren't the droids we're looking for.

I still think a review section would be cool; it'd definitely make my job easier, and give reviewers a better chance of having their reviews actually read. But that's just my opinion :P

EDIT: Just as a reminder, we currently have 80 reviews in the index. If you've got a few minutes, why not go browse through them and show some support?

The thing is, is it just me or has there been an extreme lack of reviews posted within this past year?

I don't blame people for not posting as many reviews; they don't get noticed and quickly get brushed to other pages. A dedicated section for reviews would make it a lot easier to not only getting writers' work noticed, but also get feedback from the community. My index works, but some people might not want to comment on an old review in fear of bumping an old thread, and sometimes I can't get around to updating for long stretches.

Also, it could be incentive for people to post their reviews xD

I think putting a "Collecting Tips" forum under Video Games as one large general section so people can post helpful and useful tips on collecting for any system and games, and even good ways to store those games as you had shown us with Gameboy games in one of your videos. This way, anyone new to collecting and just hop into this section of the forum and get some ideas with ease, we moderators can also track down some of the other collecting tips already on the forum to get it started if this does happen.
This would be a fantastic idea. There are so many collecting tips out there from people who don't know what they are doing. I loved to get some tips from actually gamers who know what they are doing! [linkspin]

We could have a forum with suggestions for people collecting merchandise- for example, I found a great deal on Amazon for a Japanese import of a Goomba plush, for only $10.

since pete is really interested on ebay and all the video game sellers there, a japanese video game importing post could be nice. there are a lot of sellers out there on ebay, but the shipping fees are crazy. pointing out the best sellers could be beneficial to all the forum users.
