I will admit I am not a fan of tons of forum sections. I think it is a turn off visiting a forum to see tons of forum sections with like 10 topics and like 80 posts. HOWEVER, that does not mean I am not open to suggestions to forum sections that I may find to be useful and most importantly active. I recently added the "Auctions of Interest" forum to the Marketplace because I think this section will draw repeated visitors and will definitly grow over time as people come to help eachother out. Keep in mind that it is highly unlikely (I wont lie, LOL) that the forum you suggest will be implimented (or atleast not right away) because I like to be sure it is truly needed and will stay active. A few things to keep in mind before making a suggestion: - Does it really need an entire forum of its own? can it simply be one large topic instead? - Will it continue to have a flow of new topics over time? or will all the discussions you can have about the subject die out in a few weeks? One forum I am sure will be mentioned a lot is a Collecting forum, though I am still not sure how this will fit in with the current layout of the website. We already have General gaming as well as past and current generations broken down by system/company. I do not want it to be confusing on where to post your topics, and there are already TONS of collecting topics thrown throughout the site forums already. Alright guys let me hear any ideas you may have to make the forums better! |

I think putting a "Collecting Tips" forum under Video Games as one large general section so people can post helpful and useful tips on collecting for any system and games, and even good ways to store those games as you had shown us with Gameboy games in one of your videos. This way, anyone new to collecting and just hop into this section of the forum and get some ideas with ease, we moderators can also track down some of the other collecting tips already on the forum to get it started if this does happen. |

I think that would be better off as a topic in "Off-Topic", mainly because I don't think a sub-forum would be active enough to justify adding one. You can always make a topic in "Off-Topic" section and ask a mod to pin it for you. |

Pete, I think a "Thought Provoking" or "Debate" section would be a great addition to this forum. Some of the other forums I belong to have this type of section and it is the forum I frequent the most. It would be great to see some intellectual debates happen between gamers about real world issues. It could be a sub forum to "Off Topic" but I really think it needs its own section. After all, it wouldn't be appropriate to have a topic titled "What is your favorite movie" followed by one called "Is there a God?". |

This is not a request for a forum section, it's a general advisement to update the text "Talk about the current 2009 platforms and their games." to "Talk about the current 2010 platforms and their games." or take out the year altogether. |

My suggestion is the color. This white color is pretty hard on the eyes. Gamespot allows you to choose a white background with black text or Black back ground with white text. I prefer the last myself. I think this place needs that option. So those who like the starch white background (dont know who and why) can keep it and those who want a change can. I also visit the starflight fan site and it also has an option to change the forums color. I always choose black. Also it doesnt have to be black, it could be dark gray, or some other lighter black color like charcoal. Think about. Edited by wulfshelmut, Apr 10 2010, 02:59 AM.

Same but i doubt it would attract intrest due to the overwhelming amount of topics at the moment and isnt as many high quality games on the platform but as i said earlier, this would be a excellant addition and maybe even a topic in general gaming would be good if it cant have a sub forum. |

I still would like to see a Review section. According to NostalgiaKind's index, we currently have about 47 reviews and I think is well enough to have its own section so if you're looking to specifically read a review, go to the "Reviews" section and all the reviews immediately pop up. All of the reviews already made could be moved there and every other review posted afterwards. |

Not many great games you say? There are the Final Fantasy 1&2 Remakes, Sonic the Hedgehog, Megaman 2, Resident Evil 4 Remake and a whole lot more.

He never said there weren't great games, he just meant the games are much better on platforms and the iPod Touch will tend to get extremely less posts, mostly because its main focus is not video games. |

I like this idea but I'm concerned about the low frequency of reviews submitted. I know there's about 50 but over what period was that? If this does go through do you think there should be a specific group of reviewers who submit their new reviews to a section (genre or writer) occasionally? |

If you hover over "Preferences" on the top bar, then click "Update Profile", then click "Board Settings", you can change the theme to Zeta Original, which is a blue color that may easier on your eyes. I do agree that there should be some more options though. |
