The thing about this is, a lot of people like the nostalgia feeling when playing the old DSi Ware and VC games, I'd gladly pay $5 for Ocarina of Time instead of like $15 or whatever the cartridge costs. There will also be DSi exclusive games coming to the DSi eventually, but now there is no need for it because most DS owners still have the Lite. |

The DSi hasn't been out long enough for them to really introduce anything, I agree with you on the point system, I wish it was cheaper but I don't see that happening. I think Nintendo is testing out the waters considering many people with a DS lite have not made the transition to the DSi and have stuck to their lite. Also, I don't believe it was ever Nintendo intention to really make exclusive titles for the DSi, they have stated that they will still be giving full support to the DS, especially since the DSi is not a stand alone unit it's not the next gen of the DS, more like an upgrade. Not to say they won't make some titles solely for the DSi but I don't expect it to be Nintendo's main focus in it's handheld market for quite awhile, or at least until they see that people have made the switch. Nintendo like any other business is trying to make more of a profit, and since no one can top them on handhelds they tend to recreate systems, like they did with the GBA, than the SP than finally the Micro. updating systems with a bit more features, or slight aesthetic appearance breathes a longer shelf life into their handhelds as it has proved. Those who love the DS but who also like the option of having media stored on the SD card, as well as DLC appreciate the DSi. |

Hmmm, with the DS it's kind of tricky. It depends, do you plan on playing GBA games? Do you plan on buying DSi Ware games? It's pretty tricky, it's easy to choose with the PSP because every model is practically the same. |

The DSi is completly worth it, if you dont mind not being able o play GBA games. Ignore what other people say about it, they are just trying to convince themselves to stick with the lite and not spend 180 bucks. |

unless you really like guitar on tour, the dsi is totally worth it. And neversoft said they were working on guitar hero fo the dsi, so it's not a big deal. If you can't download dsi ware(no wifi at home) then it just depends on if you want the cell phone quality cameras and the AAC music player. I don't download dsi ware on my and I still love it; the music player is a big draw for me, and the cameras are about the same quality as my regular camera's. |

New DSi LL model with even larger screens and poorer battery life announced. New DSi LL I really don't see why people are getting upset over this, this new model dosen't make the DSi obsolete in any way, and in fact it sacrifices in portability and battery life. My only complaint is that it doesn't have better cameras than the DSi, but I'm still on my DS Lite and haven't been able to afford a new DS game since Yoshi's Island DS, so I'm not likely to be in the market for any new gadgets anytime soon anyway. |

Wow, that thing is humongous, especially the stylus! But I can see why people will be upset because of this. I mean, the DSi just got released an now they're creating a new one, a better one! For people like me who wants to be up to date with the latest systems, it sure will be a hard decision whether to switch or not. |

The thing is, a clunkier system with worse battery life isn't inherently "better" than the slimmer, longer lasting version just because the screens and stylus are bigger. I could understand if Nintendo had just launched the DS Lite earlier this year and yesterday had announced the DSi, which has significnatly more features and enhancements, but the LL upgrade is nothing of that caliber of improvment. |

I think its sad that they didn't make the graphics better, like on the psp, would've been cool. |

That would require the launch of an entirely new platform, Nintendo doesn't need or is in the position do do that at this point. |

The battery life in the LL/XL is better: http://kotaku.com/5392444/how-does-the-dsi-ll-compare-to-the-dsi-and-ds-lite What's everyone's favorite DSiware? I'm really liking the Mario vs. Donkey King game and Rayman. I want to try out pictobits, bomberman blitz, and Art Style: Aquia. |
