Not at all a big fan of Hip Hop, but I forgot all about D12. I actually like them. I also like Afro Man a lot. There are a few other Hip Hop artists that I enjoy, but that's mainly it. EDIT: I can't believe I forgot about MC Chris. Definitely my favorite rapper(if you can call him that) of all time. Edited by mypersona, Apr 22 2009, 09:41 PM.

I was a hip hop head back in the 90's. Don't listen to it much anymore with the exception of some underground artists. Most of the stuff I hear on the radio nowadays is garbage. My favorite group would probably be A Tribe Called Quest. |

Haha, Lil Wayne is one of the most clever rappers in the game. No one can think of the things he does, and he's probably the most educated also (lol) "Swagger Tighter Then A Yeast Infection. Fly Go Hard Like Geast Erection. Fashion Patrol Police Detection. I Stay Tight Like Chinese Connection. I Stay Tight Like Pussy At Night. Baby Don't Get Me Wrong I Could Do That Pussy Right. But I'm To Wrong To Write. To Fresh To Fight. To Paid To Freestyle. To Good To Freestyle. I Had To Say It Twice Swagger So Nice." |

Lol yes it rythms but it doesn't make sense wtf is he rapping about?! He just switches subjects in a secound for a rythm how hes terrible. And Lupe is the most intelligent of the rappers maybe Eminem im not sure, Two million says Lupe beats him in a rap battle. Lupe Fiasco "Now here comes the march of the boy brigade Of a McCar Parade of the toys he made And in Shimmer shades who looks half his age About half the size of the flags they waved And Camouflage suits that made to fit youths Cuz the ones of the dead soldiers hang a lil loose And AK-47's that they shootin into heaven Like they tryin to kill the Jetson's They struggle lil recruits Cute Smile less, Heartless, violent Childhood destroyed, avoided of all childish ways, Can't write their own names, or read the words on their own graves Think you gangsta popped a few rounds, These kids will step in and murder a whole town, Then sit back and smoke and watch it burn down, The grave gets deeper the further we go down." See these lyrics mean something talkingg about kids in foreign countries. Edited by Shaq Attack, Apr 24 2009, 02:14 PM.

All that's missing is some Deltron lyrics in regards to new order toned by a solid sense of style. |

Why, would I be sarcastic? Also it's all a matter of taste we're arguing about. You like what you like and I like what I like. Another thing about Lil Wayne I like is that he makes me laugh "Dr. Carter" (The song I just quoted) makes me laugh everytime I listen to it. I mean it's him just acting like a doctor, and I don't care if some of his stuff doesn't make sense it just makes it even more enjoyable to listen to. I mean I like a little meaning to some of my rap, but I have other genres that can "talk" to me, I just listen to have fun. |

Just because he's acting like a doctor doesn't mean he's being clever with his lyrics, he hardly is if you ask me. I see the pop culture references, but a lack of ingenuity in his 'ensemble'. |

I'm not saying he's clever because he's acting like a doctor, I was saying he was funny. Also when I think of clever, I think of how hard it would be for me to come up with the stuff he does (no offense, but I doubt you could either.) "Straight off the block with it Eagle street to be specific I'm peepin at your people different I'll pay my dues you keep the difference I can see the end and the beginnning So I'm not racing I'm just sprinting Cause I don't wanna finish They diminish I replenish Scientific I'm out this world hoe I wear bright red like a girl toe No homo, fingernails dirty I've been counting dirty money since 12:30 A-M, Wave them if they sure take them right back and spray him amen, yea, I just do my wayne and everytime I do it I do my thing, yea Believe that like a true story Rims big make the car look like it's two stories, If I hop out - that be suicide No back seats call that paralyze I don't have a spine I don't fantasize I mastermine then go after mine" That has a bit more ingenuity than the last stuff I posted, and it probably makes more sense. Now, i'm not saying he's the best rapper alive (despite what he says.) but he's good enough for me to defend him, and pretty damn fun to listen to, but once again we're arguing tastes here and I seriously doubt this message will change your mind about Weezy. |

I'm an artist and a musician, you're assumptions has only made an idiot out of yourself. I, actually, play numerous instruments, as well as write my own lyrical conceptions. Wayne is hardly as witty as the media portrays him to be, he's godspeed away from being the next Nabokov.

Wow... the first part of your statement makes you seem like a pretentious douchebag. Just because you're a "musician" and an "artist" doesn't mean that I am going to value your opinion any more than someone else. You have managed to suck the fun out of this little argument we we're having. Congratulations. Edited by Ebo, Apr 27 2009, 08:49 PM.
