Due to Teenage-Me's terrible habit of selling games and really random super-cheap games I've stumble across, my collection is really eclectic and far smaller than it should be. If I had the regular disposable income necessary to do any real collecting, I would focus on the Gamecube. Probably try to get all the Nintendo-published games, then exclusives, then all official NA releases. But alas, I'm a poor student... My buddy actually gave me his Gamecube and the following games under the condition that if I sell any of it off, we split the profits. I told him that he could keep all of the profits for all I care. -Ikaruga -Cubivore -Wario World -Scaler -Viewtiful Joe -Zelda (4 in 1) -Pikmin -P.N.03 -Zelda Windraker -Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem One day after getting the games, a guy at work spotted them and offered $40 for the latter two. My buddy wasn't rich so he took the deal (pretty fair for a deal made between friends). I went to the thrift store yesterday and picked up Gladius for $3. I never really explored RPGs outside of Final Fantasy VII so I'm picking up any cheap game with RPG in the description, regardless of reputation. |

My Gamecube collection is an epic fail as it stands right now, because I sold most of my games a while back. Now that I have gotten more into collecting for retro systems within the past couple years, I will probably be picking up most of the games I previously owned on this system. My collection has been built very slowly and on the cheap over the course of about 4 or 5 years. I would buy games here and there for as cheap as I could find them, except for some gems that I desperately wanted and had to spring for (Wind Waker, Ikaruga, Buffy, etc). I plan to add to my collection, but I'm not interested in a complete GameCube lineup; I only want games I'll actually play and enjoy (sorry, EA sports games, and crap like Charlie's Angels, I don't want to see your faces). There are also a handful of imports I'm interested in, but that'll happen down the line. I try to limit myself to only spending my truly "extra" money on games. I assume you mean Super Smash Bros Melee? Brawl was the sequel, for the Wii. Anyway, that's hilarious; those are the exact two games I started my collection with, as the guy who sold me my Cube (via Craigslist) threw those in as extras. Keep collecting! |

My collections pretty small, partly beacause I sold all the games I had when I was a kid to gamestop. But i'm starting to buy that those games again sadly. A collection is not about how many games to own but about quality of games. That's what I see in my mind.
