For Atari, it is VERY complicated. Once you find all 3 pieces of the phone which is a challenge in itself, you must find the call space(Which looks like a space invader.) Then you must hurry back to the starting screen and wait for the timer to run out, but be careful of the scientist. and if she gets you, the FBI agent will take you pieces, you'll miss your ride, and you have to do it allll over again. Ugh.

I have my copy of ET too. I also picked up the manual for it. You really need manuals for some games so you know what to do. You can turn off the FBI and scientists so all you have to do is get the phone pieces, call home and get to the ship and you're done.

How much did the manual cost you out of curiosity?

check RadioShack. I found one there one time for like a couple bucks on clearance because my RF switch for my Atari was on its last leg.
